I did. One night we saw a documentary about how chickens are processed. Pretty disgusting. Next day, her dad had a crab feast and he was taunting her as he was throwing crabs into the steamer and they were trying to climb out. After that, I joined her

A few months later, I was in an accident and was taken to an Adventist Hospital - all veggie. After a few weeks of being offered food like 'meat' loaf (substituting cottage cheese for the meat!) I lost about 30 pounds.

When I got out, I could not gain the weight back on veggies and rice so I just started eating everything. Broke up with the girl too.

Here. It's not too hard to stick to it. Most people think i eat just vegetables. Technically it's true, but they do some amazing shit with soy.

Every May I stop eating meat for as long as it lasts, sometimes it lasts a couple months once it lasted 2½ years. I feel healthier, I lose weight.
I don't do it for any moral reasons because I'll still wrap some Veal into a lamb sandwich.

pretty much been vegan for the last 14 years

kind of got sick of the fast food lifestyle i was in. dropped meat. had several kidney stones that i couldnt pass. they were caused by calcium deposits. dropped dairy.

its difficult but not nearly as hard as it was when i started. travelling can be difficult. germany and spain were really hard. vegas is pretty hard too
easier to find places since the boom of the internet. thanks al gore

Great replys. I bought no meat of any kind the last few weeks. Along with some soy products and I feel better already and have lost a few pounds too.

That video narrated by alec baldwin on the internet will turn anyone into a vegetarian.

I havent Tesco. Thanks for the link.

Do you guys eat fish? I believe man is meant to eat fish. But not pigs and cattle.

And I got those vegetarian fed eggs. They are actually a lot better than the regular tortured animal ones.

I kid you not, I just ate half a steak and two chicken breasts for lunch. Then I read this thread. Is it too late to start?

My mom and sister are like that. I'm the least restrictive in the family by far.

Try to find one of those healthfood stores that carry all the vegetarian stuff. Tofurky is probably one of the better name brands. The sausage and breakfast links they make are the best.

http://tofurkey.com/products.htm. The top 3 are a must try.

Boca burgers are good too. Just takes getting used to.
The noob vegetarians always seem to start with the worst options. At the dining halls here they have these absolutely horrendous veggie burgers. The only people that know the good stuff are the people who eat it regularly.
